Waygoz is all about swapping games with other gamers in your neighborhood instead of getting ripped off by large retailers offering you low trade in values for games. Waygoz lets you exchange your used games with other gamers at the game's market value. Waygoz doesn't tell you that your game is worth 5 dollars so it can grab it from you and then sell it for 20 dollars. If your game is selling for 20 dollars on the shelves of GameStop or BestBuy, then your game is worth 20 dollars.
Most importantly, at any point, if you want a copy of a game that you used to own, you can use Waygoz to swap for it. With Waygoz, you keep playing and swapping, and while saving your cash.
Tell Waygoz a bit about yourself, like your postal or zip code (don't worry, all your specific location information is kept private; no one knows where you live unless you tell them), how far you would travel to meet a fellow gamer to swap games and the locations you would meet them at.
Next, tell Waygoz which games you currently own and the games you want to own.
Your Have List: These are the games you have and whether or not you want to swap them. You can change the status anytime.
Your Want List: The games you want to have in your library, but don't yet own.
Now that Waygoz knows where you live, the games you want and the games you have, the Swap-o-Matic kicks in. It combines all this information and finds you nearby games that you can swap for.
Once you find a game you want, propose a swap and indicate the time and location where you want to meet up and swap games. Meeting locations are restricted to a list of Waygoz approved public places in your neighborhood like Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts, Tim Hortons, McDonalds, or even your school.
When a swap offer is accepted by another gamer, it is posted to your Waygoz calendar (Waygoz also sends you a reminder via email). On the day of the swap, you meet your fellow gamer and swap games.
After your swap, log into to Waygoz, mark the swap as 'Closed' (This updates your want and have lists) and rate both the swap and game. Rating is an important part of being part of the Waygoz community and it is mandatory as it promotes the qualities we look for: transparency, respect and trust.
