How much does Waygoz cost to join?
Nada. Zero. Zilch. Swapping a game is always free on Waygoz. When we say free, we mean free. In the future we may offer premium memberships and options, but you will always be able to swap games for free on Waygoz. We promise.
Why does Waygoz only have current generation titles?
The current generation of games has the most activity that needs to be supported. The older platforms have become more like collectibles: the availability, condition and value of older games have a different effect on trading. Waygoz will be supporting those older platforms in the near future with enhanced functions that support a collecting community.
I only want to talk about games. Can I do this on Waygoz?
You sure can! Just use the “The Stream” - A public, site-wide communication and curation system that ties Waygoz together. It allows users to:

Why does Waygoz want my first and last name?
Swapping games is about trust and it starts with your real name. In your admin panel you can anonymize your last name to a single letter. For example, Jennifer Smith will show as Jennifer S.
Do I have to give my full address?
Nope, all that is required is your postal code or zip code - this allows the Waygoz Swap-o-Matic to match you with other gamers that live nearby.
Do you share my location address with anyone?
No one ever knows your location address unless you tell them. It is never published or made accessible to other users.
Do you share my email address with anyone?
No one ever knows your email address unless you tell them. It is never published or made accessible to other users.
I created my account through Facebook, but now I want them separate. How do I do that?
At the moment accounts created with Facebook must be accessed through Facebook. We do not have access to your Facebook credentials. We are developing solutions to allow users to have both Facebook access and a separate Waygoz login.

An Offer is a swap proposal you send to another gamer or another gamer sends to you. Each offer has 4 parts to it, the game that is being offered, the date of the swap, the time of the swap, and the location of the swap. When you get an offer, you can:
You cannot change the titles in an offer. If you want to propose different titles you must reject the current offer and create a new one.
Can I offer the same game to multiple gamers at once?
Yes. Offers work on a first come, first served basis. The first offer that is accepted by both gamers becomes the standing offer - the rest of the proposals for the same game automatically drop from your Offers List.
If I accidentally reject an Offer can I get it back?
Once an Offer is rejected, it's a goner - but it's easy to create the Offer again!
The Have List is your library of games. It contains both the games you want to swap and the games you want to keep. Uploading both types of games into Waygoz is important for the best experience as it helps the Waygoz Swap-o-Matic learn your video game likes and dislikes.
Why does Waygoz want to know about the games I am keeping?
The Swap-o-Matic learns about your gaming preferences over time and can suggest other titles to play based on your preferences. If you have a game that you love and want to keep it, it helps the Swap-o-Matic understand what’s important to you.
Your Want List tells other gamers, and the Swap-o-Matic, what games you want to match you up for swaps.
What is the Swap-o-matic?
The Swap-o-Matic helps you, the gamer, find games right in your neighborhood. Swap-o-Matic suggests other games that you may want to swap for based on your preferences, location , history and currently owned games. Once you find a game that you want to swap for, Swap-o-Matic lets you propose, negotiate and co-ordinate swaps with other gamers within your swap zone.
Can I make an Offer across platforms?
Yes, if two gamers have something the other wants there is no reason not to swap!
How do I get a swap meet up locations added to Waygoz?
We've populated the database with as many locations as possible, but you can send us your recommendations using the feedback form on the right-hand side of the site. Soon we'll have system for users to recommend swap meet up points and automatically add them to Waygoz when they have enough votes.
I want to swap a title that isn't in Waygoz - how do I get it added?
You can send tell us what games are missing from the site here Tell us as much about the game as possible: Title, Publisher, UPC, Date.

Waygoz is built for maximum transparency so that everyone can have fun and trust each other, the main indicator of transparency is your rating by the community.

The first thing to do is ensure you inspect the game before accepting a swap. If everything looks good you'll find the game works 99.99% of the time. If you're concerned about the quality of the item you can refuse it, or you should take the phone number of the other person to follow up. If the other person doesn't want to give you their number you should think twice about accepting the trade. If the game doesn’t work, we suggest you contact the other gamer and attempt to sort out the issue. We're all human, and sometimes technology is imperfect, but Waygoz thrives on people treating each other decently and fairly.
Waygoz a hyper-local Internet video game swapping platform that focuses on no-cost, in-person interaction. We may add alternate swapping methods one day, but not now.
How does Waygoz calculate its used market values for games?
Waygoz crunches a number of data sources for used game values including formal and informal online markets, retailers and wholesalers. All market values reflect the country of swapping.
